I'm just revising for Intro Exam and using CCNA Intro book by Wendell Oldom . To my surprise they are still giving reference to his INCD book.

Has anybody had the same situations? Confusing

No, this is more or less common with Cisco. You might get CCNP type questions in your CCNA exam. The books are written as a set. For Intro you read the intro book, for ICND and CCNA you read both.

I'm not sure what it is exactly you find confusing?

++ what tinus1959 said - the exam guides are not a perfect match to the exams. They should be good enough for a pass. However, I would strongly recommend not relying on just the INTRO and nothing else.

Having said that, the two combined are a better match than single-exam books like the Todd Lammle Sybex book, which while brilliant in places, is lacking in others, IMO.
