I just recently installed MSN explorer. NOw everytime I use Internet Explorer i get this error "The Web page you requested is not available offline. To view this page, click Connect."
When I click connect Then MSN explorer dialog dialog box pops up. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem.

    OK..now seriously!!

Is IE your default browser? Go to control panel>Internet Options...select the 'Programs' tab...hit 'make default' for IE. See if that helps. Looks like MSN has taken over!

how come no one has tried the easier fix?

Open IE, goto File > Working Offline

If it is ticked then untick it :D

Listen I installed MSN explorer to see what it was. Now sometimes when I connect to the net through Itunes Radio, Internet Explorer I get a pop up windows asking me to logon to MSN expoorer.
I cant find MSN Explorer in my installed programs through Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Can you help I just want to uninstall MSN Explorer.

    Now I'm hearing you!

OK..MSN Explorer is a component of XP. You may not have realised it...but when you installed the software it just brought it out of hibernation!! So to remove it do the following:

Go into the Control Panel and open Add or Remove Programs. As this is a component of the operating system you next need to select Add/Remove Windows Components which will bring up the list of all of your optionally installed windows components. Scroll down to find MSN Explorer and clear the checkbox. The last part is crucial...do not clear any other boxes!! After clicking next a few times you should be done!! Depending on how you installed you OS it might ask you for the OS CD.

    Good luck :biggrin

Thanks guys! Uninstalling the Windows component MSN explorer took away the problem of MSN explorer loading everytime I open Intenet Explorer. But if I ever decide to use it again is there anything I need to know.

    You are welcome Prof!

You won't ever need MSN Explorer!! It was used as the default explorer with Windows older versions...its way less secure than IE.....now thats saying something!! Just leave it off your system...thats what you need to know! :biggrin
