Problem Internet browser keeps crashing regardless of the one I use?

Whether I use IE, FF or Chrome it will lockup and I have no idea why, whats worse is its hard to really get an idea why as I only got it yesterday and its a refurb... Any suggestions?

Do you have any extensions running in the browser? I've seen Java and Flash cause crashes on multiple browsers.

Does your application event log given you any clues?

 

I had AVAST security in the browser along with spyware terminator, touch wood I've had no problems since uninstalling both and switching to avg, we will see tomorrow if the problem has gone when my son tries to play a game on it as it seems to crash alot on the certain website he uses.

 

Download and install the free version of CCleaner. It has the option to easily disable browser add-ons. I'd also suggest using it to check for anything suspicious running in start-up.

 

Love CCleaner, it's always one of the first things I install on my devices.
