I am looking for a program that will run a port scan on a remote machine and not just inform me of the status of a particular port i.e. open, listening etc but will also inform me of what application is currently using the port.

Anyone know of such a program??

Nelix, Nessus might be able to do what you're looking for. Nessus for Windows is a windows version. Nmap might also be an option but these are all more security oriented.
Another one is networkactiv but I haven't used this (yet).

Hope this helps a little.

I use Blue's Port Scan (just Google), but not sure if it comes up with what apps are using open ports.

    HTH :)
