Problem Imaging clients with different hardware

Most of the PCs are OEM, i am customising a OEM install that i want to roll out.
the machines are of mixed hardware (HAL, storage etc)

Someone posted a solution a while ago (i cant find it) for a product that allows you to clone a single reference machine, configure the setup and apply it to PC's of mixed hardware.

Does anyone know this product that i am taking about, pulling my hair out to remember it.

Acronis do the Universal Restore / Deploy. Is this what you are thinking of?

Not unless they recently acquired the product from another company.
I am sure the product i was shown was independent from the imaging solution

 

do you use this product? do you need a licence for each machine you restore to or just the for the copy in use?
