IC3 as part of A+

Hmmmm, after being a thick on my course, ive just seen something that i have never ever thought or considered before this wee and i must say i feel absolutey stupid for not realising it sooner


Ok Ic3?

if i was aiming to take an A+ course, would this be part of the modules? or is this a pre- A+ course?

Don’t quote me on this fella but I think it is a completely different course. I could be wrong as I haven’t done my A+ but I believe them to be separate qualifications.

 

After a quick overview of the IC3 overview at http://www.certiport.com/portal/common/ImageLibrary/ic3overview.gif , the IC3 certification seems more like a "computer user" certificate rather than the "computer technician" certificate that the CompTIA A+ is. On a related note, Certiport is the organization that issues the IC3 certificates, as well as the Microsoft Office Specialist certificates.

Cheers lee and Rostros, thats actually just more or less confirmed what i thought.

I cant believe i havnt thought about it sooner, I must be getting supider by the years gone by. Based on my previous IT experience, I was actually signed up for the A+ course, Not going to get into another beat the course provider topic, but by sending me the wrong material, it may have given me a hope of getting Out of my contract.
