i passed 70-271 this morning with 916!

it only took me about 25-30 mins, and 8 weeks of studying

i used the ms curriculum and the exam cram books to give me everything it missed.

there were 61 questions, most about file sharing and permissions. there were about 2 on print sharing, one on VPn and then some random ones. I had a couple on performance, and a few on hardware


roll on 70-272!!!!

I passed the 271 as well this morning !!

I found it much more difficult though and i was pleased with the 816 that i got. 61 questions in 25-30 mins is impressive, took me most of the 2 hours with the length of the questions !!

I had to mark about 10 questions for review and go back to them at the end, they took some working out for me.

Well done, i'm onto the 272 as well next, wish i could do it in 30 mins !

The MCP stuff will show up on your record in a couple of business days. Not sure how long it'll take to get a welcome packet, as they've changed the rules a few times since I got my first one.

congrats guys, if this is your 1st exams you will have to log in to the microsoft mcp site ( u should get a email in the next couple of days).. make sure u go to the address profile part and click the link at the bottom of page or you wont get sent the pack and you have will have to wait longer for it.

Yes it takes a day or three for the official site to update...and a few weeks for the certificate stuff to turn up in the post.

When you get your MCP login details go to the main MCP page and go to:-

Program benifits -----> Welcome kits and certificates

Link on the right hand side. Scroll to the bottom and select order welcome kit. This only appears when you gain a new cert not after every exam.

It took 3 weeks for me to get my one for 70-270. (MCP)

Roll on 272. I found it harder than 271. That's a great score and I'm not sure how you managed it in that time!!
