    First for anybody who wants to know what you need to obtain a Microsoft Office 2007 Master certification I'll tell you what exams I took.

    1. Office Word 2007.
    2. Office Excel 2007.
    3. Office PowerPoint 2007.

    I took the Office Outlook 2007 exam today and I now have under my certiport account both an MCAS Outlook 2007 certificate along with another one that says MCAS Master.

    I'm going to post my scores and am curious what types of scores others have had. I can tell you that Outlook for whatever reason was the hardest exam for me and as you would think was my lowest score out of the four exams.

    Word = 933.
    Excel = 846.
    PowerPoint = 967.
    Outlook = 833.

    Overall I don't think these are bad scores at all but I clearly noticed parts of the exams which I could have done so much better on. The funny thing is that the exams I felt I did the best in were my two lowest scores. Also the exams I felt I did the worst in happened to be my two best scores. So I'm just curious if anybody else also tests like I do because nobody I've talked with says their tests go like that.

    I'm currently working towards my CompTIA A+ certification. After that will come Network+, CCNA and Microsoft Certified IT Professional. These are the required certifications to graduate from the program. After that I can attend the local college for another year (10 courses) to get my A.S. degree. So far I'm at the top of the class though but things sure are getting harder now but nothing I cannot handle yet.

    I'm hoping that this forum can be of great value as I delve deeper into the world of IT. Thanks to all who can provide any information and help and I will try and do the same.

    Congrats and welcome.

    I'm working towards the MCAS Master, have taken two so far, PPT and Outlook. 933 and 1000 respectively :p

    I don't expect to get that for the other two, although it would be nice :) My strongest subject is probably Excel, but on the practise tests I am struggling to get a 1000 even in Training mode, where you get step-by-step help.

    I know how to do it, and teach more (self-developed) Excel 2003 classes than any other, but for some reason I am having trouble getting my head round "the Microsoft way" on a couple of the 2007 questions. Only need them for the exams, and can then get on with using the features the way it is done in real-life :blink

    As far as I can see a pass is a pass, so the only reason to get high scores is for your own satisfaction, and you are right, yours are not bad scores at all. The question is, are you satisfied with your scores?

    Erm...what's the difference between the MCAS and MCAS Master?
    Also, are ALL the questions in the exam task related, ie do this, do that? Or there's also some theory?
    Are they really hard, testing about the more obscure topics, or more general, day to day ones?
    Thanks. I'm also aiming for the A+, and hopefully Network+ THIS YEAR, for the 're-cert'ing' thingie.:biggrin
