    Hi,

Back from vacation and I did it. I climbed the Peter Mountain. The beast is 106 meters high and it took me just 17 days to reach the top.

What do you mean no big deal?

Ok, ok, the "hill" is not that big of an achievement, but hear me out: the route to it is.
The Pieterberg (that's Dutch for Peter Mountain) is the endpoint of the Pieterpad. It starts in Pieterburen (in the north of the Netherlands close to the 'Waddenzee') and ends on the Pieterberg, just south of Maastricht in the far south of the country.
The total lenght of the track is 485 km (that's some 300 miles). With an average step of 75 cm (2.5 feet) it took close to 650,000 steps or allmost 40,000 steps per day.
More info of this track can be found at www.pieterpad.nl. On the second link "algemeen" and then the third link "lengte / etappe-indeling" you can get an idea of the this hike. Unfortunally it is only in Dutch. I have found no translations of this page.

No, no pictures taken. But there are some stories on the net with pictures. The texts are all in Dutch, but pictures don't need that much text. For an inpression look at http://www.veeronline.nl/pieterpad.php.
Not my pictures, best you'll get an idea.

What's holding you? I'm sure there must be hikes like this (and harder) in Canada.
