While I am the instrument of the demise of that site, I am saddened that he would just get angry, drive off all the rest of the people who would have stayed and helped him, and close completely.

People like mitzs and Fortch gave him some really good advice and I was hoping he would listen to it even though it's obvious he never really listened to anything I had to say to him. I don't trust him any further than I can throw him, but I still don't wish him evil.

Well, this is why I am still considering not staying here, Gav. I honestly explain why I post the stuff I do, and you see it as another dig.

I've been gone for a while and the irritation so many of you guys obviously felt at my posting has mellowed in the interregnum. However, since you still have the same perception that irritation will soon return. You'll once again get tired of hearing what I have to say, and there will once more be a distraction to the focus of a good site, with me at the center of it. That's not something I wish to be, but it will be the sure result of my becoming active here again.

The same thing would happen at T-U if I were to become very active there. I would soon want to kill Gadric again and there would be a large distraction to the site.

I don't think we will be tired of you Freddy!

However, may I bring to your attention that there are quite a few new members here who have joined since your departure and are a part of this community! To impile we all think the same is a bit Cheeky! :ohmy

So many people, with so many views on life how can you get bored with that?

CF should be a distraction from the Norm! It's a beacon of hope for people out there looking for advice or help when they feel lost.

aren't you jumping to conclusions, freddy? whether or not you're a distraction to the site i think you need to let us be the judge of that. both respect as well as patience needs to go both ways. as much as we have to give you room for venting your opinions, you need to give us room for venting our opposing opinions. it would be a very dull world if everyone would agree and like each other. your ideas on one subject do not exclude your worth and your right to be part of this community.

    d-Faktor,

As much as I know you believe what you just said, it's simply not true. If you debated my positions rather than made personal attacks on me when the subjects of my posts became irritating to you that would be one thing, it's another thing altogether when the attacks on me become personal.

I post about principles and ideas, and the responses are, in essence, shut up and quit talking about it. It gets really old hearing about it.

I don't mind old-fashioned debate and a questioning of my ideas at all. I enjoy honest debate. It makes me think through what I believe. It's when I become the center of the distraction that it's time for me to move on, and that's what it became last time and has the same potential for happening again because when I post, people see it as me taking personal shots at MS, so they take personal shots at me, yourself included.

I would never concsiously choose to be the focus of attention, and am very uncomfortable when I become that, even when it is postive attention. That I am the focus of this thread bothers me. I should have known I would become that on this thread, but to tell the truth it never occured to me when I posted that I would.

    Good grief !!!

Freddy, if you return to read this, or are informed by a friend maybe, please note - I began my post with "LMAO", spoke in a friendly way to you, and ended with a smiley to indicate that my intention of posting was that I was happy that we were speaking again, even if it was to agree to disagree.

I firmly believe you are over-reacting, and that the bulk of our Members want you to stay so they can revel in your company, input and advice.

Your choice, Freddy - I've extended my hand to you once, but I wont beg. If you walk away, I wish you well at your next port of call.

This thread reads like an obituary!
    He's not dead!

I have a lot of respect for Freddy, but at the same time I'm happy to say that he is a miserable b*****d! :)

Come on guys (and girls)! This is a public forum, we can say what we want (as long... guidelines... etc)
You can put things here free from censorship, but at the same time expect to have similarly uncensored replies.

I'm not staff, but if you can cope with that sort of thing you get a rewarding experience. If you can't, go live in a box.

And now Baba is going to tell me off for trying to close a thread without permission...

So freddy what has MS got you so beefed up about?

You think MS is a rip you should see the prices they charge for Video editing Software and web design.
I think the worst is Macromedia, who keep releasing Studio. I've got studio MX then a month later they release MX 2004 and now there's Studio ver8 .Now Adobe owns it!

I purchased Pinnacle V.9 then had upadte it with the latest patches because it was so unstable. What I didn't know was inside the update was a pop screen that shows more features to the program but to unlock this feature I have to pay them £55 for an activation code. It's so annoying having a pop advert screen everytime I use the software!

Freddy also disagrees with Microsoft's ethics Monkey, and, TBH, he's not alone.

I'm not on a diet but I could probably do with one.

Just how does someone go about impiling something? I've never done it and to tell the truth, am quite ignorant of what it is. It does sound nasty and perverted though which is something that I'd expect from a cheeky person....

If that's how you meant it, I over reacted, but that was not how I percieved your post. In past communications your references to my "digs" at MS were not meant in humor, and I just saw your post as mocking, given your previous usages of the word "dig" and my understanding of it.

I'm curious, if you had written a post explaining yourself because of previous problems between you and I, and I had responding by "laughing my ass off", at you, would you see it as good humored?
