After several years of muddling through with IT in my work in AV, I have decided to say balls to the AV and re-train with a view to being a competent IT worker. I've got by over the years but feel I need to start from the very begining. I am hoping, in the end, to train MM editing to University students. I am heading to A+ but doing ECDL Advanced & Expert and possibly EUCIP ( did an online mock and managed 88% with no training, pass score is 60%... How is this looked upon by employers ).

The A+ is great; I've never heard of the EUCIP, and I don't ever see anyone calling for people with the ECDL (though that might be because I'm in the States).

The ECDL might get you a job in an office, very unlikley you will get a possible IT job. I have never heard of the other one.

The A+ would be your best bet
