    Hi Guys,

Has anyone done/doing the A+ off their own back without a training provider. I would like to get a clearer picture of what lies ahead apart from obviously having the nose in the books. Is it a good idea to source an old pc to tinker with and what can I expect to come up against when I book my assessment day?????? How much should my assessment cost???? and are all exam questions multiple choice?????

Sorry for the daft questions but I really have no idea whats involved!!!!!!!!!!! :stpd

As always any help is appreciated.............

Quickest way to answer all of your questions is to invite you along to the CompTIA A+ forum. All of the above (plus loads more) have already been addressed in there, my friend :D

Sorry to go off topic but...."Howdy Y'All"? Your profile says you're in Glasgow but I wasn't aware that folk in those parts talked the same way as people in Tennessee! :blink :biggrin

Trip - have you ever encountered any incidences of the Glesga Patter ?

I think you'd be quite enlightened. HERE's a wee story to give you a taste...

As Jak pointed out, visit the A+ forum. Most of the answers are there and anything else you want to know just fire away.
