How to write a report

Not to sure if this is in the right place but i was wondering how you go about writing a report before or after you repair a pc, does it have be a short or long report and what would you put in it.

Depends entirely on the circumstances. Most PC repair shops I've encountered put only the briefest details, and I do the same in such cases.

But there are probably situations where a longer one is needed.

And, of course, if this is part of a test/exam then you need to show your 'working' so the examiner can judge your ability.
