I think i am good in Linux sockets, little bit Linux networking and have some idea on Linux routing mechanism.

So please guide me to get certification. Your inputs are valuable for me.

    Thanks in advance,

The A+ would hapilly get you started on the certification track. Take a look around the A+ forum for more info.

Welcome to CF, glad you joined up :)

Like Simon says, start with the A+, after that you may wish to do the Network+ (which is a vendor-neutral cert again, like the A+). You also state that you like Linux and Cisco, after the A+ & Network+ decide which route you want to go down first of all

If Cisco, then start looking at the CCNA/CCNP
If Linux, then start looking at the Linux+, then the RHCT, etc

But see where you want to go after the A+ & Network+

    Hope this helps

Hi and welcome to CF! :biggrin

I'm going to differ here - if you are familiar with Unix sockets then that would suggest that you are fairly well into networks - so I'd feel that Network+ is a better starting cert for you.
