I'm interested to see how many email accounts people have, how many of them you regularly use, etc.

I'd also like to hear how many you access via webmail, etc.

I'll go first - I have about 6 or 7 I think: Work, 2 on my ISP, Hotmail, GMail, and a couple of others I cant quite think of at the moment.

Only really use the work and one of the ISP accounts regularly. I used to use Hotmail a lot, but all the Junkmail was annoying me. GMail I use for a specific couple of purposes, other than that I never touch it.

I have 3 active e-mail accounts, but 5 working e-mail addresses: my work one (that I use for my full-time and part-time job), my personal one (however I got 2 personal e-mail addresses that re-directs to my personal one) and my yahoo account that I use for my writing job :)

Just the two for me, my work one which is pretty much what I use on a regular basis, and then my personal hotmail account for everything else!

I have 3. My hotmail one that I use for personal, this site, and TU. 2 Yahoo ones. One that is with my IM. I use this one if I want to sign up sign where and do not care about the spam. Then I have another Yahoo email that is just for our ebay account.

I went for controversy and hit "21+".

I have 3 aliases to one mailbox at work; 1 hotmail for MSN; 1 gmail for legacy email and googletalk IM (encrypted, so work can't sniff it - ironic, as my job is to record web traffic :biggrin ) and then my own domains.

I have my personal address, a "personal work" (aka homers) address, plus an address I reserve for any CF issues, and most recently, a mailbox in support of a local campaign I'm running. I will also offer mailboxes to anyone in need of them during the campaign.

Plus, all family members are free to take one at any time.

Basically, with your own domain and mail server, you are unlimited ... hence my vote. (I forget how many ISP addresses have come and gone in the past)

You have to love flexibilty :)

EDIT: To answer Fergal's secondary point re webmail, my preference at the mo is for POP3, with copies left on server for 3 days to enable two clients to keep up to date (faux-IMAP, till I can be arsed going full IMAP), but with ANY account, I would insist on webmail. Can you even get an address that doesn't have webmail these days ? :blink

    8 i can think of.

Work, my very first Yahoo account, hotmail for MS e-learning, G-mail, free one with ISP (which isn't used) and my *main* account with Fastmail which allows multiple domains pointing to your account - very useful! :biggrin

    I'm confused
are we talking addresses or accounts?

    That I use
    I have three accounts

    Gmail
    My Domain
    Work

There are numerous ones I don't use (for example MSN hotmail account, dont even check it, its 100% spam)
and of the three I have, they span off into hundreds of actual addresses (used mainly for filtering purposes

gmail has no extra addresses, its pure webmail that I use for most things these days

work has a number of aliases and group aliases

my domain has a shed load of aliases, allowing me to filter anything hitting my inbox
I get push email on my phones from work and my domain
and I have an applet for viewing gmail on the move

After looking at this thread I realise I have far too many email addresses.

    Ones that I use :

I have 2 for work (one redirects to the other)
I have a personal address at my domain (I have got rid of my mail server so this redirects to a Gmail account)
I have 3 Gmail accounts, 1 is a store so all mail is stored, the second it one I use day to day. The third is for game modding and related forums.

    Ones that I don't use:

3 More Gmail accounts setup for various reasons and are generallly just sitting around.
I have about 6 domains that all have a primary address that redirects to me personal one and gmail as above.
I have several ISP accounts again all sitting empty.

I think I am just disorganised, I setup addresses with some great masterplan in mind and then just default back to work, personal and archive store addresses.

I have some for my kids and my family... not sure if those count, especially since my kids are too young to use them, but they're technically "mine".
