Hello there.

I would like to introduce myself.

I have worked in the IT Training business for the past 20 years and I retired around a year ago.

I have worked for the following training providers as a salesman.

National IT Learning Centre
Advent
Skillstrain

Firebrand
IT Skills
Home Learning College
Computer Training College
Just IT

I have had some great experiences with most of these companies and I have to admit I have also sold courses that I shouldn't have sold. but hey we all have a living to make.

Now I can help anyone looking at these companies and let them know the pro's and the cons, prices (well last time I worked for them) and how good and bad they really are.

Any questions guys?

I am sure your knowledge of these TPs would be welcome to people studying certs but please don't get offended when a lot of people on here mention self study as oppossed to training providers.

 

Pleased to have you onboard and I'm sure your advice will be welcomed to many.

 

Yes I know what you mean Lee, self study is always a good option and isn't to different from some of the training providers I have worked for, it all depends on what you get for your money.

If you really want to help, perhaps you could consider posting an article to the forum detailing some of the 'common' sales techniques used by these TP's salepeople to encourage a sale. Quite a few people can get pressured into joining a TP/course because of some very clever sales techniques, it might be handy to produce a guide for some of our members (and lurkers) to advise them.

Just a thought.
