In the sea of “doom and gloom” articles on the economy, it’s good to run across a positive one. Instead of focusing on how bad everything is, this article http://www.cioinsight.com/c/a/Opinion/FUD-is-crud/ focuses on how 2009 can be a great year for IT.

You know what? They’re right. 2009 isn’t the year to curl up in a ball and wait for the problems to pass. No, it’s time for IT to step outside the box. It’s time for IT to find news ways to demonstrate its value for the business.

Sure, it may take a little more thought and creativity, but 2009 can be a great year for IT.

Hmm...all I can say I've noticed is that agency phone calls have gone from 2-3 times a day to once every other week.
