Hi everyone, just signed up after lurking for some time.

I am just about to embark on my first self study towards A+, am waiting patiently for my A+ AIO book (Mike Meyers) before cracking on.
I have several years of hardware experience (none of it paid!) and since my current employer has no interest in helping me train for something in a different LOB decided to take charge of things myself.
My aspirations are hardware based - but realise the importance of a solid foundation, hence the A+ for starters.
Then I will probably do N+, look for an entry level position and take things from there.
Looking forward to A+ and my first 'real' steps towards a career in I.T.
