hi Im back and confused:-(

    hi

    i was studying for ccna while ago, ive passed semester 1&2 of the 3.1 curriculum but....

    ...some things changed right now, aren't they??

    can some one put some light on that topic for me please??

    Im not to sure its still call CCNA??

    maybe i wasn't to precise:-)

    rumor is about an exams,
    if I continue using my 3.1 books(semester 3&4) will I be able to pass this new exam??
    its 640-802??
    or there is a lot of things that changed and I will need to spend another 100s££££ for new books??

    this are the books Ive got now.

    I started my CCNA in 2005-2006
    as far as I know thoes books covering exam 640-801?? but I might be wrong:-)

    Book you have add link to looks new for me and its covering 640-802 exam.

    The new CCNA is 640-802.
    what i am concern its a big difference between thos two 640-801 and 640-802??

    Yes - CCNA has changed. I'm not any sort of expert in this, so I'll let others give the details.

    The older books will get you *most* of the information, but there are definitely changes between 801 and 802, particularly with respect to ISDN (no longer focused on), IGRP (no longer focused on), wireless (new topic) and IPv6. Certainly it's not as cut and dried as that... there might be other minor details that are different between 801 and 802.

    To be safe, I'd recommend getting new material. With the CCNA, you need every edge you can get. However, if that's not possible, study up on wireless and IPv6 and I would think that you'd be as good as you're going to get with old material. :)

    If you’re very comfortable with the 640-801 material I’d suggest brushing up on the IPv6 and wireless topics. If you need to review most of the material, look for updated books / study guides that cover all topics for the 640-802. It’s cheaper to buy updated books before not doing well on the exam and having to start over again... :blink
