Hi everybody. I am David. I am 40 years old. It is a pleasure to join this forum of ICT professionals. After introducing myself, I want to ask for an advise on Network+ study material.

I bought the Network+ Study Guide & Pracitce Exams by Robert J. Shimonski. Can somebody tell me if this book is a good book to prepare for the exam Network+ N10-003?

I also ordered the book Network+ Certification Practice Questions Exam Cram. Is this a good book to practice for the Network+ exam?

    Thankyou in advance.

Hi and welcome to CF :D When I studied N+, which I did recently, I used Network+ Study Guide by Groth, and the Exam Cram guide, I also got Network+: Exam Cram by Harwood. I found the Groth book very helpful.

Don't know about the ones you mention, maybe someone else can comment.

    Good luck in your studies.

    Hi, welcome to CF :)

I have found the Exam Cram series very good for Comptia exams (I've done the A+, N+ & Sec+), for the Network+ I actually used MS stuff (yes they do N+ study material). I don't know if the Network+ Study Guide & Pracitce Exams by Robert J. Shimonski book is any good as I've never used them, however I have used Syngress book in the past and found them to be very good (I've used the MCSE upgrade book from them for the 70-296 and I have used their Security+ book from them). However they were not the only resource that I used.

    Hello and welcome to certforums.

I am studying for the N+ also at present and I am using the Network+ fast pass book by Bill Ferguson and I find it to be very clear and concise. I think its a good book, I am also using the NET and the Network+ Study Guide by Groth/Skandier which I use to read up on details I don't quite get from the fast pass book.

Anyway a few of us are studying for this cert at the moment so your not the only one, between us we can put our heads together should any of us get stuck.

    cheers
