Hi everyone

I'm a computer science graduate with no experience. Just started studying for the first A+. I'm planning on taking A+ N+ and MCDST till June. Hope these certifications will improve my chances of getting my first job in IT.

The A+,N+ and MCDST should improve your chances of finding a job. Coupled with your degree that gives you a good shot.

I'm not sure of the content of your degree but I'd imagine those certs would be pretty straightforward for you.

I found nothing in the A+ that was completely alien to me and I have no proffesional experience or training, only from building my personal desktop PCs

Welcome, you're in the same boat as me. The A+ and Network+ material alone would be enough to land you your first role. I'm currently going through the A+ stuff again, network+ and vb.net. However I'm only A+ Certfied, the comp science degree holds alot of weight and interviewers usually assume I have a good technical grasp of the job I'm interviewing for.

My suggestion is re-vamp your CV and put down the skills you've picked up from the A+/N+ study.
