I'm Alex, just passed my 3rd exam yesterday: 70-291. I thought it was a lot more difficult than 70-270 and 70-290, but it's done and dusted. I intend to do the 620 in 3 weeks time and hope to find some info and guidance in the forums.

Welcome to CF and congrats on the pass, which study materials did you use or find helpful for this exam? Thanks in advance.

 

For the 290 I used Examinsight book and I attended a full week course with QAIQ in London (paid for by employer last year). The course was excellent to learn stuff but not very exam-orientated. Still, it was a good experience.

For the 270 I used a Fast Pass book, plus 4 years experience, also, installing Windows XP on a Linux Eeepc without a cd-rom was a good learning curve: I got all questions about XP installation right!

For the 291 I used the Microsoft self paced book. I was already a bit tired by then and I have less working esperience of DNS and network security, so it was a tougher one to pass.

I came to the conclusion that some experience of practical work is a lot more valuable than the books, so I'm going to install Vista on a pc at work to practice as my home pc would need some hardware updates and I'm very happy with XP.
