    Hi everybody!

Just a bit of background info on me:

I'm Lee and I've just started my own PC repair business. I'm completely self taught, and have been messing about with and fixing other peoples PCs for a long time.

However......I have found that working and actually being paid to undertake repairs is a very different kettle of fish!

All of a sudden people see me as the "Expert" and have very high expectations, which is fair enough.

I'm here as I want to take my A+ as a start to plug the gaps in my knowledge, and then go on from there really!

So any help or advice would be VERY much appreciated!

    Lee

    Hi and welcome to CF!

IMHO you have the right approach - using the structure of A+ to fill in gaps. As a bonus when you achieve it you can display the cert to your customers! :biggrin

Yep, you are quite correct that working in IT is very different from "helping someone you know fix their PC problems". ;) Harry's right - you're on the right track with getting the A+ to strengthen your foundation of knowledge.
