Hi Guys and Girls,

Im new here (obviously) so just saying hi and asking some advise... already! I am fairly new to the industry and want to know what qualifications i should be looking at now? I have A+ and i`m working on Network+ I would like to get into support or admin. Im not really sure what the best route would be for me now? The MCDST is ending soon i understand so where do i go from here? ANy advise or opinions are welcome... but please be nice! lol

The MCDST is retiring at the end of March if you knuckle down you could do it by then. The MCDST is being replaced by the MCTS and MCITP. These are exams based on Windows Vista and Windows 7.

The MCTS is what you get instead of an MCP when you pass either the vista cert or windows 7 cert, getting both gets you the MCITP.

The MCDST has recently been extended till June '11... but don't delay! That extra three months will fly right past!

 

Might just have enough time to study for that hopefully. Thanks for the heads up Boson!
