Just discovered this fourm and thought i would sign up and get invoved. I am I.t manager/network admin/system admin/supreme geek for a local company down here in the south of england. I am currently studying for MCSA, Not sure which specialisation to do yet but i am leaning more towards security for some reason.

After my mcsa, i want to do mcse. This should keep me fairly busy for a while.
Right now i am working on 70-290.

Any other books you would recommand other than the microsoft press books ?

Hi & welcome to CF :)

Why don't you do the client exam first of all?

i got the server books first for my birthday last year and did nothing with them until recently. When i was planning my path to getting the mcsa, i decided to do the vista exam. Here at work, we dont use vista yet, so i thought it would probably be useful if i did the server parts first as I deal with the more at the moment.

As i have already started 70-290, i dont want to stop and switch to something new, but my friend recently did the vista exam and passed after studying it for a week.

Maybe i can study 70-290 while at work and vista while at home.

    more food for thought.

Are you a BCS Member ? Even if not, we can perhaps drag you along to some events - you never know when you might make a useful contact.
