    Hi All! :blink

I'm a 28 year old Australian who has been in the UK now for almost
3&1/2 years (have a British passport) during which time I've been traveling and working in the construction industry doing general multi-skill jobs and using my IT experience every so often. Prior to coming to the UK I ran my own computer business in Australia after gaining a Bachelor of Information Technology at University.

I've recently decided to stay here and am looking at getting back into the IT industry but understandably some of my skills are a bit rusty and out of date. I'm going to start studying my MCSE & then CCNA throught NITLC.

Does anyone think doing an A+ & Network+ is worthwhile if you understand the material and plan on being MCSE then CCNA qualified?

As another Aussie, let me be the first to give you a big certforums welcome. Look out Jak the Aussies are coming mate.

Most definately mate. A+ and N+ is the foot in the door in this industry and very good starter certs. You'll find that all the active members here either have it or are going for it.

And again welcome to the forums.:D

I'd say A+ and Network+ are ideal groundings for MCSE (tho I seem to have ground to a halt since getting them). Will do you no harm whatsoever.

Oh, and WELCOME to CF as well :D

Welcomed with open fridge, m8 !!! :biggrin

Thanks for the greetings and advice guys. It's nice to run into a friendly forum where people aren't slagging each other off. Bit of a rarity on the net these days. :(
