Hi Guys,

This position is working for a Multi National company based near to the Trafford Centre. The position would suit a candidate with Helpdesk experience.

This is very much an entry level position; however my client sees it as a feeder position so if you do well there are other opportunities within the IT department (80+ people in IT)

Job Title: Service Support Analyst
Reports To: Service Support Team Leader
Division: Group IT

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (you can but additional 5 days)
CIMP pension scheme
Life assurance (4x salary)
In house catering facilities
Free on site car parking

Job Purpose

To provide day to day support in the running of the support service function

Knowledge & Skills Required

Computer Literate to an advance user level demonstrating ability and willingness to continuously develop skills and knowledge
Knowledge of security application advantageous
Demonstrates a customer orientated approach to work
Demonstrates excellent organisation and time management skills in order to achieve task completion
Ability to work effectively in a team
Ability to work on own initiative to resolve customer problems within structured guidelines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including telephone handling and face to face.
Accurate data handling skills

Principle Job Accountabilities

To demonstrate a Service First approach in supporting both Group I.T. and the business as a whole
To create positive and professional relationships with customers and co-workers, effectively managing their expectations in a consistent manner
To manage activities and tasks in accordance with *** policies and procedures and standard operating practices.
To proactively manage own work and team tasks to ensure priorities and deadlines are achieved in a timely manner.
To accurately record and track I.T. problems / incidents.
To directly liaise with appropriate parties (both internal and external) to resolve *** queries and gain relevant information to assist resolution.
To maintain Service Support team data and provide management information as required, in accurate and timely manner.
To be responsible for application security in different development , testing and production environments and to maintain documentation of authorisation to systems
Contribute to problem identification and to the development of 1st line fixes.

That is for Durex. SSL International I think in the Venus building. Can't ask for a better working enviroment.

Wow pay differences are really different up north compared to london, the 1st line in my current company start on 20k.

Not a bad starter for ten at all - plus some of the perks look spot on. I would assume the in-house catering is subsidised, and free parking? That's worth in the region of £1200 - £1500 p/a for average city centre parking rates, imo.
