I have a HND in Business computing but have never managed to get a job in IT
I am interested in either support or a DBA roll. I have been looking at comptia a+ certification or should I be going for one the Microsoft certifications.

An IT manager I know told me not to do a+ as he had never heard of it but I have known of it for quite some time

    Can anyone help............please

    Certifications: A+, N+, MCDST, Security+, 70-270
    WIP: 70-620 or 70-680?

    Oh, there you are...

Certs for a DBA would be MCDBA or the new 2005 thingy, I forget what it's called.

An IT manager who has never heard of A+?
Not sure what planet you're on there mate.

Actually, no sure what your question actually is...
Finding a job is never easy, and IT is the same.

    Stick at it!

For ease, we should merge the two threads in this instance into one. Im not a mod, but i would suggest that anyone replying does so
    here
since it seems to be a bit more descriptive.
