    Hi all,

I'm planning on taking the 70-272 exam sometime near the end of next month, now i've almost finished reading the book. I've just taken the exam that came on the disk and got 71%

Ok, what is the pass mark in the proper exam? Would you recommend the exam cram books, as i think i'm going to need all the help i can get lol

    Thanks

Passing score is 700, but that doesn't necessarily equate to 70%.

I recommend MSPress and Sybex for Microsoft exams.

I just used the MSpress books and transcender software, and passed no problem.

exam cram and transcenders for me - passed both MCDST only dropping 99 points between them (if 1000 is top).

I found the Exam that come with the Exam Cram books more difficult than the real deal, so they are not always that accurate an example.

exam cram are great, but dont rely on them to tell you everything.

I am learning 271 and 272... could someone tell me is it all about reading books. I am at college doing this course yet have only been on computer approx 4 times in 6 months! Is this normal. Are we supposed to be able to learn from these books all we need to know. I do have a computer at home but do not work in the industry and find it difficult to always get on and study, especially if you get things wrong, the books dont always explain that. Ideally, I think one to one tuition would be good, but does anyone do that?

    :D

While I haven't done these Certs, I wouldn't dream of studying these without hands-on practice!

IMHO some of this material just won't sink in with out that.
