Guys building a new PC. As I'm so out of the loop on hardware I need help on buying a PSU as my new GPU uses 2x 6 pin connectors and typical my current PSU only has 1. I've picked out either:

Antec True Power New 650W Modular Power Supply PSU 80Plus Bronze SLi

Coolermaster RS700-80GAD3-UK Silent Pro Gold 700W Modular Power Supply (PSU)

Will either of these PSU's do for a Sandybridge CPU, 560Ti GPU, 8GB RAM, 2 Hard drives and 2 DVD Players?

Also what is this thing with 12v rails? The Coolmaster has one and the Antec has several. Does it make any difference and should I pick one over the other PSU based on that?

Not to worry opted for the Antec True Power in the end.

Wish I had seen this earlier.

As I would have advised the coolermaster although corsair and seasonic are better than that. Keep an eye on the antec as the last few years they have been using cheap component suppliers for their capacitors and have had lots of problems.

From what I've been told is that Antec's bad reputation for having bad PSU's is from years ago and they have vastly improved (or at least I hope so) I thought Antec PSU's were made by Seasonic?

It was three or four years ago that Antec were made by seasonic. They may be using good suppliers now but last I heard they weren't. As long as you don't plan to push it near its limits then you should be ok.

Seasonic make corsair power supplies now.
