I have managed to get a hold of 2 2500 series routers and a 2600 series also a catalyst 2900 series xl switch, I have only read the intro of the ccna and I am still not sure of what the hell I am doing, so if any of you kind people would no of any step by step stuff so that I can set it all up, then that would be fantastic,

You may find that using this book will get you going in the right direction.

Although it doesn't exactly map to the swiches and routers you have it will help you get started.

The sybex book by for 801 exam has some good labs to follow at the end of each chapter.
