Haha - my kinda birthday :biggrin I'll actually be legal at my next one too! What's your fave cocktails - gimme some advice! I had a mix of Baileys, Smirnoff Red and something else at Frankie & Benny's.... but the vodka taste was too strong.

Heh, always a nightmare deciding what kit to buy.

    My CCNA/DA 'lab' consists of:

3 x 2503 routers (soon to have 16MB DRAM upgrades)
    1 x WS-C1924F-EN Switch

Hope that's adequate for my needs....

Where would we be without Ebay?! I got my routers, a 2501 and a 2503 from Ebay, for £65 each. I think a 19x switch will be a bit more than that though...

im still bitter at ebay for the time i lost out on a 20k VPN concentrator because some git put his first bid in the last 20 seconds of the auction, that was just annoying as hell lol

to get out of this ebay should have random auction finish times within a one hour period of the supposed finish, that way people cant just bid in the last 20 seconds without the original bidders noticing and being able to attempt to re bid

But that's the best bit of Ebay ;o) - everyone sitting there at the last few seconds in a bidding war - and with a 4mb connection I usually win *evil laugh*

BTW - hi Phoenix! How are you? xx

lol talk about a slow response, check the date on that last post :)
funny you dropping by, i sent you a mail this morning lol

hows the studying going? done your NA yet? or still doing all that other school stuff?

and besides, bandwidth is irelevant, its all about latency and the two are not directly connected
4mb adsl has higher latency than 512k cable, and a 155MB SONET connection is 'teh daddy' as i like to say
theres my techy babble to keep the topic on track, or i'd face Si's topic split wrath once again

Lol well I only just got the email! And I am very very very pleased to say I'm now CCNA certified!! Passed a week ago, although I admit it was my second attempt. But anyhow, woohoo! I'm getting interviews now in some schools to start this September :D I might have a look at some places up in London though since pay is better.

Oh you and your latency! Well it may not have impressed you, but to any non-geeks, saying I have 4mb 'net is very impressive! Ok I'll reply to your email then, can be off topic there. xx

Yeah, haven't had a chance to do much recently other than cram useless equations into my brain... It's really opened doors now though, I have lots of interviews lined up and I've been offered three jobs already! :D I'm hoping to find a company that will let me keep training though, get the 'NP. xx
