Hello folks,im keef from the uk im 35 and have worked in manufacturing since leaving school,i now find myself redundant, and have just enrolled on the cisco academy programme (ccna) with the hope of changing my career path,i start the course on september the 8th:)....any advice would be great, and is there anyone who has been in a similar position?and what are the chances of employment after completing the course as i guess most employers would be after experience.

    kind regards keef

In my opinion, the CCNA won't be very helpful getting an entry-level job in IT because the CCNA isn't an entry-level certification... it's designed for techs with experience doing network administration. I'd have recommended that you start out with the A+ and Network+ to begin your career path. :)

But... that's just my opinion. :)
