    Hi! I'm Alex, I'm from Romania, i'm 21 years old and i currently a year two computer science student.
    I like the ideea of certifications, and i like learning more and more stuff in my the IT field, so this forum is great for me ;)
    I currently have a CCNA certification. And I planing going for CompTIA Linux+, CNNP, LPIC-1 (if i get those, i'll see what else i can do...)

    If you don't already have an IT job (even a part time one), I'd recommend doing so. That will give you a *huge* advantage when you graduate... as you will have already "paid your dues" with entry-level work while in school.

    Thanks for the recomandation but, although i agree with you that a job while in collage would provide and edge over the others, it doesn't work in my situation. I am a student in the Computer Science Department at the Polytechnics University Bucharest, which is the best/hardest dept of it's kind in my country (actuality it is considered very high standard world wide...). So it's very hard to hold down even a part time job
    I already have a busy extracurricular schedule..for example some Cisco courses (after CCNA, now i am taking a Cisco IP Telephony course). I also would very much like to have my own CCNA class at my local Cisco Network Academy :)
