Hi, just thought I'd post a little introduction about myself.

I'm from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire (noticed that a few of you are using NITLC in Newark, I have worked in Newark in the past and even lived there for a time) and I'm 24 years old.

I like to think I know a thing or two about computers but I have no formal qualifications... that's where you guys come in.

I found this place after having a house visit from a guy from Computeach...

All I can say is that a: The guy new nothing about IT
b: He was a rubbish lier
c: A rubbish salesman

So... this is where you come in. I'm hoping you guys can give me some advice on the various forums on here so I can make the right choice for me in terms of getting some formal qualifications.

He was frail looking but I'm sure he didn't have white hair. He was an idiot though, and I have this horrible superpower that makes all crap talkers think that I'm believing every word they say.

Told me that I shouldn't rush the decision but that positions were limited. Started off by looking at this basic aptitude test they asked me to take and saying that I'm at senior RAF level or something... he had some fascination about the military for some reason and he kept on going on about how the British OWN the internet (like it was a singular object) and the world... very peculier indeed.

I take it you live near me then Stoney?

 

Just looking through your article right now, I'm not very far down it but it sounds VERY intrigueing.

Can I just take this oppertunity already to say how happy I am that I found you guys, this forum is proving invaluable already. I won't say that you've saved me 5k, because that guy was so ott that he couldn't have sold excrement to flies but you've picked my spirits up no end.

You, on the other hand zimbo would make an excellent salesman, simply by speaking the truth you have convinced me to go out and buy a number of books. I will be doing this is the next few days after I've discussed it with my gf.

Anyway, i'm gonna carry on reading your article zimbo my man, thanks alot.
