I am new to this forum and need some advice on getting back into IT work due to career change. If I should do the Comptia A+ or the MCDST. I have some IT skill and have done first line support before but it is over four years now, so I need to refresh and get new certification.

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks

I'd recommend the A+, Network+, and MCDST, in that order.

    Welcome to the forums!

I too recommend A+ and then Network+. I'd try to get the A+ out the way before December (both exams) else you certified status is only valid for 3 years (pass before December 31 and you're certified for life).

Oh and welcome to the Forums :)
