Made it to lev 43 on easy. Used upgraded machineguns and flame throwers. But when those green and blue iron-shaped things appear, I just can stop them.

    I just completed hard level.

My other half has buggered off, as I think he's bored with (losing to me at) the game.

    Now for Really Hard.

It's a no-brainer really. I find that fully upgraded clusters of 4 ice cannons bring lots of things to a grinding halt.

Now if this game were realistic, the ice cannons would be neutralised by the flamethrowers.

Now *that* would be challenging

Fortunately you can still play with only the one arm, this shouldn't be a handicap.

... may have to be lashed to your seat or something though... tip over otherwise, and that's only funny if we can watch.

Ahhhh! No, wait, I see what you meant there now... jolly strange mental images. O,o

Um, 42. On easy. I have managed to reach the meaning of life... who knew online gaming held enlightenment...

    I got to wave 4_3_.

    I used:
    1. The "Zebulebu method" of ice cannons and flamethrowers.
    2. The "Arroryn method" of clustering four ice cannons together.
    3. For punch, I had a cluster of four Light Towers at level 3 each.

I may need to upgrade one of the Light Towers to like level 4 or something to add "punch" against the "boat/iron" shaped ones that Headache had issues with. I may also need to centralize the Light Towers so that it can be useful both offensively and defensively.

Tactic i've used to beat Easy & Hard is a mix, but its ALL about location...

Stick Ice Cannons right at the start, stops them coming at you so quick and gives you time to destroy the others before your left with two waves at once. Then on the corners have level 5 flames so that each passageway is like on constant flame. I usually have about 6-8 flames on level 5 down one stretch, with more ice cannons and a few higher end $3200 towers, does the job without too much trouble!!

Btw, the Impossible level, really is impossible lol :D

I got to wave 4_4_. One extra step is still further than before.

    I used:
    1. Methods
      1. Zebulebu
      2. Arroryn
    2. Equipment
      1. 1 Level 5 Light Tower
      2. 8 Level 5 Ice Cannons
      3. 6 Level 5 Flamethrowers
      4. 2 Level 4 Machine Guns
      5. 2 Level 5 Plasma Cannons
      6. 1 Level X Plasma Cannon

I learned that definitely a Level 5 Light Tower has more punch than multiple lower leveled Light Towers. Enough punch to keep squares, diamonds, and even most of the boats/irons at bay.

I'll try the "always on flamethrower" method next time.

I finally figured it out. Ice cannons and flamethrowers all the way. Cluster the ice cannons together in a square about ten to twelve strong and surround these with flamethrowers. Upgrade them to the max and that's all you need to do. I've completed easy and hard this way. Doesn't work for impossible though.

I got up to wave 49. Ohh, so close.

    Equipment list:
    1. 8 Ice Cannons - Level 5
    2. 5 Lighting Towers - Level 5
    3. 1 Light Tower - Level 4
    4. 2 Plasma Cannons - Level 5
    5. 13 Flamethrowers - Level 5

Say, how many waves are there at the hard level?

Can't get past about level 35 on Very Hard - I've got what iIthink is a good strategy, but I'm pretty sure the 'random' factor at the beginning really screws you up - I lose a few points early on when your machine guns are crap and I can't seem to make enough money early enough to allow me to slow 'em down sufficiently to wipe them out quickly enough past rounds 30-odd onwards

I still can't get the positioning/tactics right to get past wave 13 on Very Hard. Still, plugging away :)

I got up to wave 50.

    Equipment list:
    1. 8 Ice Cannons - Level 5
    2. 5 Flamethrowers - Level 5
    3. 8 Lighting Towers - (4 x Level 5, 4 x Level 3)
    4. 5 Plasma Cannons - (2 x Level 4, 3 x Level 2)
    5. 1 Light Tower - Level 2
    6. 1 "Dark" Tower - Level 2

First off, one mistake I've been making is that I've been concentrating my development in the "rear base" on the top of the screen. This time, I concentrated my development in the "forward base" on the bottom of the screen. I used the Ice Cannons and Flamethrowers in the "forward base" while I setup the Lightning Towers and Plasma Cannons in the "rear base."

I think the fatal mistake I made was to build the Light Tower and "Dark" Tower instead of building up a second bank of Lightning Towers sooner, in the same 4 x 2 brick configuration as the Ice Cannons. Lemme try to see if that works.

I did that level again last night, using a bank of 12 Ice Cannons at level 4, and about 16 level 4 flamethrowers.

The 12 ice cannons just stop everything while the 16 flamethrowers do them in. The same tactics work on the "Hard" level.

The very hard level is just that, struggling to get past level 21 at the mo! :(
