    I want that os soooo bad, but i'm gonna wait and see if they come out with sp2 first. Like they did with xp. I have xp pro on the way for the new machine. Nice link zim, thanks!

    Ive been to pauls site before but never seen all the vista articles collected together in this activity center. very thorough and detailed, thanks for the link :)

    I'll still wait for sp 2. I heard about sp 1 xp and thats enough for me to wait for vista sp2.

    Actually, it was XP SP2 that caused all sorts of problems, especially for companies: link

    XP SP1 was tame by comparison.

    it only caused problems because shoddy programs had hooked into some of xps security holes that sp2 locked up, causing any number of nightmares!

    not exactly best practice by the devs, but you cant blame em really
    SP2 might of been a hassle to deploy but it was a godsend as an SP and really kept XP going for as long as it has

    Agree, completely. Was just addressing the "complication factor" as far as compatibility was concerned. :)
