It couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. All the help you have given the members has given you good Karma my friend.

 

My congregation celebrated Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles...look it up in the Bible) last night which is a celebration of the Almighty's providence in our lives, so I had a doubly good time. Had a few glasses of wine to celebrate after I got home last night and had my first really good night's sleep in over a week. Of course, as with any new job, there's the learning curve and getting to know people and the corporate culture and that sort of thing, but I'm usually pretty easy to work with and know enough about people to figure out how to make connections. I'm not going to worry about a thing this weekend (except finishing Chapter 9 on Sunday). Thanks, all.

I signed the final paperwork at the contract agency's office today. My start date is a week from today or October, 8. Gives me a week to really pound away at my book and try to get ahead. Also gives me a week to sleep in (if I can force myself) and have time at while *and* being able to relax because I don't have to worry where my next paycheck is coming from.
