Hey guys, thanks for the kind words.

I came through with a 680, and I celebrated with a huge KFC lunch.

I think I had two questions on the OSI, about 5 on Macs, and towards about ten on Wireless technologies.

Onto the 70-290 . . . . . .after I've done four more incredibly difficult N+ Quiz rounds.

OK so thats me screwed dont know enough about MACs lol and wireless.. hmmm i might scrape through on wireless....

Apart from that was there anything else unexpected??? And what sort of questions were they about MACs? the appletalk protocol? or summat else?

I can guess the wireless ones covered the WAP protocls and 802.11a, b & g standards...anyting about IR and Bluetooth?
And did this exam seem like it was adaptive to you?

OH AND CONGRATS BTW M8 YOU PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!! so when we getting the next sets of questions as your now an expert lol???

To be honest, the Exam was pretty much eclectic. There was the odd question about almost everything. There were problem solving questions about why a particular service etc on a mac wasn't working, and protocols on macs . . . etc.

IR and bluetooth didnt really play a big part in my exam, and it most definately wasn't adaptive, because as the Exam went on, it was as though someone had deliberatley linked the last question to the next. Like . . . . . q1 what is port number 80 used for . . . . . . . q2 someone want to create a http server . . . .

Very well done tho, I have to admit the questions kinda flowed.

Thats good to hear, quite often we hear stories of how poorly wirtten the Comptia exams are, good to know that they are getting their act together.

 

I have to admit, it was a real pleasure to take. Even though all of the questions weren't easy.
