I have taken CCNA 1-3 via the Academy process and am enrolled in CCNA4 presently. I am going to be testing for my cert in May/June time period. I am going to setup my own home networking lab and have bought the following:

    3 x 2610 routers with WIC-2s
    3 x 2950 switches
smart serial cables to connect routers

I want to be able to continue my studies to get my CCNE. Can you recommend any changes to my lab or should this be good? I want to spend as little as I can to have a lab that would be able to be used for me to get my CCNP and maybe more someday.

    Sounds good :)

For CCNP I would recommend adding 2 3550's and 3 routers capable of running IOS 12.4, something like 1841's or 3640's. This is similar to what I used (2x 2950, 3x 3550, 3x 2610, 3x 3640, 1x 1841) and should be a good base to do most of the labs for CCNP. It's also worth exploring GNS3 and you probably already use packet tracer, right? :).
