    Hi All,

Well, it's been a very hectic year so far, so a bit late with this...

So how have you all been getting on with your goals for 2016?

For me, these were my set goals:

    1. Gain my 2nd Dan in Tang Soo Do - Passed
    2. Gain my PostGraduate Diploma in Tech Management - one assignment and one ECA left to do (already completed 2 eTMAs) in my current module (T846 with the OU) to pass and gain this :)

What about you guys and gals?

Can’t remember what goals I set – must be something to do with the boozing.

Work has been hectic – a customer I support has bought out some other organisations so I’m in the process of merging the networks together. First phase is a complete Firewall refresh (around 20 midsize sites) and then look at getting all the domains to talk to each other.

Well I have passed my VCAP 5.5 DCA exam, it was a goal for the year, I want to do my DCD exam as well at some point (perhaps at VMworld at the end of the August).

Ooof same as Sparky struggling to remember what I set out to do this year. VCP6 done but that's about it this year. Currently doing a free Open University Cyber course that's interesting. Apart from that, working like a dog in work means 2016 has been a flash thus far mate

Tbh mate I think 2016 is going to be a certless year, which in many ways Im ok with; I have around 100 hours of back-logged videos Im working through. If I can end the year with them all done and have learnt alot I would consider it a success. For me to progress at my current place, certs will not help me do that..knowledge however will move me up so just focusing on that for now as 8 months in IT is nothing really. Maybe 2017 will be cert year for me!

I did two certs last year, two certs the year before that, so if I want to keep up with that I have another cert I need to do this year :o

Nothing wrong with that @Juelz. As long as you feel like you're progressing and learning more its all good.

I struggle to find material that interests me lately. I think I just need a holiday
