Just got a GPS today for tracking routes and times etc when im mountainbiking (its overkill but i like my gadgets lol). Been looking online and noticed this geocaching and was wondering if anyone else had done it before? It seems like a good way to get fit aswell. I could basically download a destination to my GPS and then cycle to it and see whats there, might make the bike ride a little less boring.:)

I've done some geocaching - but lately I don't seem to get the time!

I thought about getting a GPS - just because its a toy! - and looked at geocaching. It could be quite a bit of fun, but again, its that time factor again.

Also, it could be quite solitrary hobby unless you have a partner or group of mates willing to come along.

I do a bit now and then, can certainly make a fell walk or bike ride have a little more objective to it :)
depends where I'm doing it, if I do it over in the states I try to leave a few English nik naks and its a fair bit more fun with some mates , sometimes a solitary walk is a good thing though :)

It is very enjoyable, although I've stopped doing it at the moment.

There were logbooks in both caches, along with a few travel bugs, info here: http://www.geocaching.com/track/travelbugfaq.aspx
Then there were little items like toy soldiers, lipsticks, a few badges etc.

There was also tons of wild garlic next to one of the caches so ive got a load to cook with, yum :)
