Generating unrealistic salary expectations

    I've just had an e-shot from an online IT training company - to be fair their prices aren't too bad but not sure what or how good the instructor follow up is.

    However, what really got me was this little bit at the end of their ad :

    Quite frankly, and especially in the current economic climate, for someone with certs and no experience they seem way off ! Is it any wonder we're getting so many trying to jump into IT !

    Lol

    Might have to investigate the CompTIA Project exam at those salaries ! Methinks PRINCE2 would be better recognised :p

    lol where I come from I cant see anyone pay over 15 k for A+

    just done a quick google search £38,694 for CCNP in Edinburgh (closest on the list to me) cant see it

    I'd say that was about right for where I work, maybe even a bit low. All except for A+ and Project+ which for some reason aren't really known in our place. As someone said, Prince 2 bods in our gaf are on around 70k+. Cheers, Jimbo

    Umm in that case I am being short changed by my employer! I am now (as of last week) MCDST but I am on less then £24K and I thought I was on fairly good money for the my experiance level!

    Sorry I didn't mean that to sound pretentious. I'd say 24k was definitely in the right ball park, our Desktop lads are basically Server boys in Desktop clothing ha ha. Deploying to thousands of desktops in one go due to the size of the company

    Dont worry about it, it was more a comment aimed at Darkstars post of the wages. And as for the job description its much the same here.

    They should be showing a higher figure for their MCSD students.

    Given that all the core exams retired a month ago, that makes it so much harder to get...
