Following on from an earlier thread...

I have an ADSL router (linksys WAG54GS) connected via cable to my Win XP pro SP2 machine.

In my network settings screen I have the LAN connection to the router, my VPN for accessing my server at the office, three firewire connections and a connection called 'internet gateway'.

I'd like to know what this last one is for and if it has any bearing on a wireless DNS problem i'm experiencing.

Here is a screen shot of my network folder.

    Any help is grately appreciated.

either you played with internet connection sharing on your network, and configured this machine to be an ics client (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/internetgateway.htm), or your machine and your linksys device are both upnp enabled (http://cc.uoregon.edu/cnews/spring2003/upnp.html).
