Lottery history could be made in Friday's EuroMillions draw.

The £95 million prize will be the biggest pay-out of its kind in the world if it is won by a single ticket-holder.

Larger prizes have been won in the US but the actual payouts were lower, either due to tax or because winners opted for smaller one-off lump sums.

A single EuroMillions jackpot winner would also automatically become the UK's biggest ever lottery winner, eclipsing Glasgow postal administrator Angela Kelly's £35.4 million EuroMillions jackpot win in August last year.

They would also seize the European lottery crown from Dolores McNamara of the Republic of Ireland, who won £77 million on July 31 2005.

Yeah it's one of the few things we don't get taxed on.

I've just put 7 tickets on but the lottery website is really struggling at the moment.

lol. How much do you think they're going to make off tonight's sales alone?

Most of support at work have gone in a 'syndicate' and got 29 tickets... if we win, work on Monday will be...interesting.

I've bought a couple of tickets. I normally play a couple in the normal on a saturday. Though I always stick to lucky dips, that way i dont get suckered into the whole 'my numbers will come up the week i dont play' mentality. this way, if i cant afford to, or i miss a week, no big deal!

To be honest, whilst all that money would be great(!), i would be content right now if all i won was enough to clear off my remaining debts, and maybe (if the gods feel generous) a little bit more to buy a couple of luxuries.

I have done one ticket, I'll never get more than one because the odds are so high.

Me neither... but the UK had 6 lucky devils who each scooped about £6.5 million each, plus another 11 from around Europe... 8)
