I recently saw a sign posted by a mobile home advertising "PC Repairs" and a phone number but I have no idea if it generates any responses. I was a free lance tech for awhile but I got my jobs by posting my CV on various IT job boards and registering with an IT temp agency locally.

The results weren't enough for me to quit my "day job", at least not for awhile...but I did get some valuable experience and got to play with some very expensive equipment. It was fun and sometimes kind of nerve wracking. I made a few mistakes and learned a few lessons.

Let us know what sorts of responses you get. Good luck.
