Hello my little ones

Gather round children, gather round and let Uncle Joe tell you a tale of 7 layers and the mysteries of the Subnets (No! ya can't sit on my lap)

So if you are ready I shall begin!

Once upon a time in a galaxy in the not too distant future in this case the 28th of Jan 2010 at 7pm GMT sharp there will be a 3 hour long CCNA prep webinar, this is run along the same sort of lines as the free one day courses.

I aim to include the subnetting chickens and some Cisco CLI in this one hence the 3 hours.

3 hours of OSI Model, Subnetting and with any luck Cisco CLI (Only if you are good Children)

(Purpose of Protocol Stacks, Looking at the functions of each of the layers, we will concentrate on the lower 4 layers as they are more important.)

From 7pm till 10pm (Sleep is for hamsters and stuff)

Remember it's free and all are welcome, same rules as before:

You'll need same as before:

1: Headset (No speakers please as the echo and feedback is not good)

2: computer

3: Internet connection

4: a comfy chair and some tea (No biscuits as they make crunchy noises, unless you dip them first).

5: No ringing phones in the background. (My software shows the origin of background noise and I do mute excessive noise and and echoing..sorry)

6: No screaming children or howling animals in the background (We had on one occasion something that sounded like a cow)

7: No Joke telling until the end, I couldn't stop laughing last time

8: No talking over each other

I have sit and passed my CCNA mate but was wondering if I could just join in and listen to it as it has been 6 months now and the contents are somewhat fading away. Besides, I have never done a webinar so it would be a new experience.

Anyone and everyone is well come to join in. It is 3 hours so make sure you have a nice comfy chair.

In fact better that you do join as it will help you retain some of the stuff that is fading away.

Webinars are quite simple, it is like being in a classroom but you are sat at home or office, you see my screen as I draw and hear me speak, you'll also be unmuted so you can answer the questions that ask. So it is quite interactive.

Headset with MIC would be ideal, if you have no headset and your machine has just speakers then please make sure the MIC is turned off so to reduce the feed back.
