ironically, I actually share your opinions on the subject for the most part, mine just vary in, it is not the FRS that is the problem, is it the people behind it. I just like arguing.

In saying that, yes, we all know the system is flawed and the rest of it, it is just in short, impossible to correct, there is not the support nor willpower to do it. Then even if there was a system available to replace it (the gold reserve won't work because of the amount of capital floating around is far higher than the amount of gold on earth) the shift would be too great.

We took a step from resource backed money to debt based money and that's something that is impossible to go back on.
