It wouldn't let me post until I filled in EVERY profile field... including my only two blank ones, "Favorite Music" and "Favorite Movies". Come on... you can't be serious... restricting people from posting unless they reveal their favorite music and movies?!? :wtf: Why the requirement? There's no point to adding that restriction.

There are 3 requires fields that are part of the registration process, two are to stop spam and one is for advertising. The upgraded added one of those three and so everyone will be prompted to update that field.

The advertising is the one it wanted, it was not marked as 'required' as far as I recall, but it was the only one that looked new, so i clicked no thanks and everything worked again ;)

Eh? No, my friend. The forum software would not allow me to post today until I updated my favorite movies and music fields. Neither of those stop spam or advertising.

    Si

I'm guessing you've changed the front page display whilst you're testing? It used to have a lot more in the topics showing in 'recent topics' and also used to show how many posts there were in each topic (and how many unread)

Not a big problem, just wondered if you were going to put it back that way, or whether you were going to implement something that allows us to customise the view

Hmm I can post without adding anything to the fields, although it did say my profile was incomplete the profile page did not mark up what it wanted me to update so I just clicked save profile at the bottom and I can post now.

Hows it look now? There was a problem with the install of vBadvanced so I had to fully remove and lost all the settings.

Why does it seem like I'm the only one to have to input length*girth in order to post?
    I dunno.

And didn't the man ask us no to use this thread for troubleshooting?

Oh, BTW, ads WAY more annoying now...
